Look at the photos above. What do you see? What I see is an empty, dusty field with brambles and bushes but what Charles and Sarah Kaye see with prophetic vision is a Church pastored by a Nicaraguan  pastor, a bi-lingual school with both American and Nicaraguan teachers, sports fields, a community health facility and much more, and I have no doubt that with God’s help they’ll make it happen. This ability to look at something and visualize what it could be is a gift, and a gift I don’t have. 5 years ago, Charles and Sarah saw what with natural eyes would be seen as a dump but they saw a church and missions facility and today, it’s El Puente, our facility in Granada, Nicaragua.

With El Puente up and running, Charles and Sarah have now turned to an area in the southern most part of Granada called The Pantanal (which means swamp). The have recently purchased 50 acres there for the purposes of planting and building another church as well as a school, as I have described above. They are a gifted couple with great faith and prophetic vision, and I believe God will honor that over the next 5 years as they are moving forward. While I was in Nicaragua, I had the privilege of working in the Pantanal with some of the most beautiful, hard working albeit poorest people I’ve met and while I may not be able to see with the same prophetic vision that Charles and Sarah can, I can advocate for them with prayer and by leading groups to Nicaragua to work along side them to make this project a reality. There is much work to be done, materials needed and laborers to come alongside the many people in The Pantanal who will be helping to make this Church, School and Medical facility a reality.

  1. Awesome undertaking. Sounds like you guys are pushing the limits of what’s possible – that is likely where Jesus is working. Good stuff.
