If you’ll allow me a bit of slang, “ain’t God Great!!”
To say that the Christian life is an adventure would be an understatement. Every year God does different things in and with my life: some scary, some surprising, some unexpected, even miraculous, but always a blessing.
I don’t always see things as a blessing at the time but if I step back and reflect, I see it. There are things about God I know without doubt, that He loves me and though He may try me, challenge me, even rebuke me, His purpose is always to build me up. He will never tear me down. Hallelujah!! This past year is no exception. Here’s a bit of a recap:
1.
10 missions lead (one to go on Dec. 28th).
2.
7 Missions 101 plus training weekends conducted.
3.
Moved from Atlanta to New Orleans (this was one of those unexpected things).
4.
Surgery on both eyes for Cataracts (this is one of those scary things).
5.
Awesome visit from my daughter at Thanksgiving (what a blessing).
Here in New Orleans I have made many new friends and ministry partners. I am meeting with various local pastors on a weekly basis just trying to be an encouragement and bring unity (John 17) to all the Kingdom workers here in “The Big Easy”.
In 2007, we’re going to try and take New Orleans for Christ one neighborhood at a time. More on that as the year unfolds. Please pray for the Pastors and ministry workers here as there is much resistance from the evil one.
Isn’t it awesome how God brings all those things together in our life?! Thanks for being an example who lives this stuff!!
